June 10, 2011; Trevor Ladner of Necaise, MS (Age 17), won the 2011 Junior BASS Federation Nation Central Divisional Championship today on Table Rock Lake in Missouri.

Destre DeDeaux, a pipeliner from Meadville, Miss., will fish in the Central Division for Mississippi. DeDeaux is a member of the Okhissa Casters, and his sponsors are Whack Um Baits, Foster & Son LLC and Pipeline Resources
Trevor Ladner doesn’t have far to travel to fish the Jr. World Championship; the 17-year-old lives in the neighboring state of Mississippi. He fishes with the Jourdan River Bassmasters, and he’ll represent the Central Division in the older age bracket. Ladner is not only a hunter and an angler but also a musician; he’s the drummer for the Back Porch Band.
Mississippi has two anglers fishing the 2011 Federation Nation National Championship November 3rd -5th in Monroe, Louisiana.

BASS delivers a Boatload of Food for the Local Food Bank!

Mark Byrne of Petal Bass Club delivers a boatload of food items to the local food bank; Mark collected the food donations via telephone over the course of the last few weeks.  Then spent all morning Tuesday making the rounds picking it all up and made the delivery in the afternoon. The delivery was timed to give the Food Bank time to process the delivery and have it ready for the needy members of our community in time for Christmas. The total delivery was 68 cases of food items weighing 550lbs.
